DEPARTMENT OF ORAL, DENTAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY

The Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery is a dental specialty that performs the diagnosis and medical-surgical treatment of diseases, injuries and deformities related to the mouth, teeth and jaws. The specialty includes the treatment of deformities, cystic or tumoral pathologies of the soft (cheek, palate, tongue, lips, muscles) and hard tissues (teeth, bones) of the mouth, fractures of the teeth and jaws, extraction or maintenance of erupted or impacted teeth, dental implant placement and corrections to allow for better prosthetic treatment.
