DEPARTMENT OF ORAL, DENTAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL RADIOLOGY

The Department of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology is a specialty in which patients are first examined, diagnosed by using the necessary radiological (periapical X-rays, panoramic X-rays, tomography, etc.) and laboratory tests, and referred to the relevant branches after appropriate treatment planning. With the examination, the patient's medical history, systemic diseases and information about the ailments he/she has suffered are first obtained. Necessary precautions are taken to ensure that patients with any discomfort do not experience health problems in dental treatments. In line with the information obtained in the first examination, the applications to be made during the treatment of the patients and the medications to be used are organized in accordance with the health of the patients. Patients are explained the variety of dental treatment plans and the advantages and disadvantages of treatment.
